Porter Bennett

Porter has over 30 years’ experience as a consultant to the natural gas and oil industry. He founded Bentek Energy LLC in 1985 and developed the firm into the leading natural gas market analysis and information company. Along the way, Porter managed multiple pipeline and production acquisition analyses and assisted numerous producers, pipelines, and midstream companies to formulate their strategic vision and implement wholesale and retail natural gas marketing programs. In 2012, he co-founded Ponderosa Energy.
Porter is a member of the Drillinginfo Board of Directors and the International Gas Union Strategy Committee, the Vice President of Western Energy Alliance and Chairman of its Natural Gas Committee, and an Observer with the Potential Gas Committee.
Porter holds a Master of Science in Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines, a Master of Arts in International Affairs from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Lewis & Clark College.
