Activities

Your registration includes participating in a local activity on Wednesday, June 20th. During the registration process we will ask you to select one of the three activities below:

Option 1: Catch the big one! Fishing Charter on Lake Tahoe:

Treat yourself to an unforgettable experience on America’s premier Alpine lake. Our captains are experienced in trolling, drifting and jigging and they’re here year-round to guide you to the lake’s hot spots. Depending on the season, you can expect to catch Mackinaw (Lake Trout), Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout and Kokanee Salmon. The Mackinaw season is open all year. Introduced to Lake Tahoe near the turn of the century, Mackinaw have reproduced rapidly over the years. Average size is 2-7 pounds, and many 20-30 pound trophies are taken each year!

Whether you’re here to fish or just to marvel at the beauty of the lake and mountains, you’ll enjoy a half or full day on one of our well-equipped boats. All have the latest in fish finding technology and equipment and they are safety inspected by the U.S. Coast Guard. Back at the dock, we clean and sack your day’s catch.

There truly are few adventures that offer such a fun-filled outing for you and your group as sport fishing on majestic Lake Tahoe!

Option 2: Sip, Swirl, Savor | Create your Custom Blend Wine

Many people know that most of the wine they drink is a blend, but what they don’t know is how different grapes and the properties of those grapes contribute to the final product. A wine must be at least 75% of one varietal to put that on the label, like a Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon. This gives winemakers in the wine industry 25% more space to blend in other varietals to make their wine more dimensional and integrate different flavors.

Expert wine makers will guide your guests through the blending and tasting process. With graduated cylinders and beakers at each station, guests get to make and test blends, trying different proportions of each varietal to make the wine they like the most. The process of wine making excites people to talk to each other, share blends, and have a really great time. After all, it is wine!

Option 3: Get your Daily Dose of Iron | Golf at the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course

Set along the south shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe, Edgewood Tahoe is in arguably one of the most scenic golf courses in the world. Designed by George Fazio and opening in 1968, Edgewood Tahoe is rated by Golf Digest Magazine as one of “America’s Top Golf Courses”. A challenging but fair test of golf for all ability levels, a choice of four sets of tees gives all golfers a course suitable to their game, playing from 5567 yards to a demanding 7445 yard test of golf.

Attire

Be comfortable and casual! Leave the suit and tie at home! We recommend comfortable attire for activities during the day on Wednesday. For all meetings, casual attire is appropriate and business casual for evening events (cocktail hours and dinners).

Bringing a Companion?

Spouses (and/or family) are welcome to accompany you in Lake
Tahoe, however, the Energy Disruptors events are designed to
promote and encourage interaction among energy industry leaders
and colleagues. When we planned this Summit, we wanted to create
an environment that was conducive for networking and sharing
conversations about our industry’s future. However, we also want
full participation of our guests and understand the conflict for those
who are bringing a guest. For this reason, we decided to open up the
Thursday dinner and casino night to include spouses. The Wednesday
night activity and dinner will continue to be participants only. We
encourage you to join for networking and your special gift.
